Diaspora Led OD and MEL Workshop in Senegal

Despite considerable macroeconomic growth and stability, Senegal continues to confront major local development difficulties, with more than a third of the population living in poverty and 75 percent of households experiencing chronic poverty. (World Bank, 2021)

In communities like St. Louis Senegal, governments continue to rely on civil society organizations like Maison de la Gare to lead efforts in improving the lives of the country's most vulnerable street children by providing education and professional training services without financial support.

To support Maison de La Gare's work, ADC Capacity building expert Joselyn Secker and Jessica Kanya-Ngambi led a capacity building MEL and Organizational Strategy workshop with staff in 2021.
