On April 23rd, ADC hosted a social mixer at Bronze DC, a vibrant Afro-futurism-themed restaurant in Washington, D.C. This event brought together a diverse array of diaspora professionals to celebrate the community's impact, support black-owned businesses, and shine a spotlight on the exceptional contributions of professionals of African descent.

We were honored to feature outstanding individuals like Lakisa Ballard, a dedicated Maternal Health Specialist and Advocate for Black women, alongside Soraya Senosier, a Development Practitioner and host of the podcast Diaspora in Development. The evening was further enriched by the presence of brilliant attorneys, medical doctors, PhDs, social workers, tech professionals, and real estate developers.

Through events like this, ADC continues to foster a sense of community to empower professionals of African descendant globally to become development agents, while actively supporting and uplifting diaspora businesses and initiatives. We look forward to more such gatherings that celebrate and advance African causes worldwide.
